Lostwithiel railway station is a 5-minute flat walk, with direct services to Plymouth, Penzance, and - via change at Plymouth - London Paddington.

This cottage is ideal for a couple who wants a riverside town base with easy rail access, and who plans to explore the wider south coast by public transport or day trips. It is good for dogs - the rear garden is enclosed and the riverside path gives easy walking without a car. It is less good for beach-focused stays: Readymoney Cove in Fowey is 8.6km by road, and all three nearest beaches require a drive.
