St Agnes is a former tin-mining village with a creative, independent character. The Wheal Coates engine house on the cliffs south of the village is one of Cornwall's most recognisable landmarks. St Agnes Beacon, a short walk above the village, gives 360-degree views across the county. The coast path connects Chapel Porth, Porthtowan and Cligga Head within easy walking range.
