Ash Lodge - Retallack

A three-bedroom, two-bathroom lodge at the Retallack Resort near St Columb Major, set in the north Cornwall countryside about 6 miles inland from Newquay. Ash Lodge has a private entrance and a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, plus a washing machine for longer stays. Dogs are welcome.

Inside, the lodge is finished to a 4-star standard, with comfortable living space across the three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Free WiFi is available throughout, and the kitchen is large enough to self-cater for a full week without difficulty.

St Columb Major is a market town known for Hurling the Silver Ball - a centuries-old game played through the streets on Shrove Tuesday. Newquay's beaches are about 15 minutes by car, with Fistral and Lusty Glaze among the closest options. Padstow and the Camel Estuary are around 20 minutes in the other direction. Newquay Cornwall Airport is 5 miles away, and the Eden Project is 14.3 miles to the south. Check-in is from 15:00, check-out by 10:00.

Best for families or groups wanting an indoor pool and BBQ garden regardless of the weather, with dogs welcome too. Less suited to those wanting a beachfront stay - the nearest beach, Mawgan Porth, is 5.3 miles away.
