Barney's Retreat

Barney's Retreat is a lodge on Newperran Holiday Resort, in the village of Goonhavern, with every room on a single floor. The terrace has a hot tub for the lodge's own use. Two bedrooms take up to four guests: a double with an en-suite basin and WC, and a twin. The lodge has one bathroom, a shower room with a walk-in shower and basin and WC.

The open-plan living area has a kitchen with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave and fridge, a dining table and a sitting area with an electric fire and a corner sofa. Central heating, a TV and WiFi are included, and so are fuel, power, bed linen and towels. Off-road parking is for one car.

The resort adds a heated indoor swimming pool, an adventure playground, a bar and a restaurant. Away from the site, the Bay Tree restaurant in Goonhavern takes bookings. A shop is 0.6 miles away, a pub 0.9 miles and the beach 3.6 miles. From Goonhavern, Newquay is 6 miles and Truro 9 miles.

Dogs are welcome, but the number allowed isn't stated, so confirm it when booking. Smoking is not allowed. The lodge suits a family of four or two couples, and it is less good for larger groups, as it sleeps four.
