Bosuns

Bosuns is a two-bedroom cottage in the heart of Polruan sleeping 3 - 1 double with river views and 1 single with a pull-out bed available on request. The wood burner warms the lounge, and the cottage has been updated with new mattresses since October 2021.

Polruan sits on the eastern bank of the Fowey estuary, and the foot-passenger ferry to Fowey town departs from the quay below the village - a short walk from the door. The crossing takes a few minutes and drops you into Fowey's independent shops, restaurants, and galleries. Readymoney Cove, a sheltered sandy beach, is 0.7km. Lantic Bay - one of the South Coast's more rewarding walks - is 1.9km, and Lansallos Beach is 4.1km for those looking for a longer day out.

The cottage is ideal for couples or a small group of three who want a proper Cornish fishing village experience without driving everywhere. Two pubs and a shop are within easy walking distance in the village. The Eden Project is around 7 miles by car.

Important access note: car access to the cottage is not possible. Luggage drop-off is 250 yards away, and there is no private parking or outside space. Guests need to carry luggage from the drop-off point on arrival - worth factoring in when packing. The cottage suits those who prefer arriving by ferry from Fowey, where free parking is available in the town car parks.
