Castaways

Castaways is a two-storey, three-bedroom cottage in St Merryn, sleeping 6. Two bedrooms have king-size beds, while the third is a twin under the eaves, suitable for children only given its reduced headroom.

One bathroom serves the group. The ground floor has a lounge with a stone feature wall, a sunny conservatory with a table tennis table, and a kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine. There is no wood burner or hot tub, and the layout is not step-free.

An enclosed lawned garden has a picnic table, and parking is provided outside. Dogs are welcome. Harlyn Bay Beach is 1.3 miles away, while Trevone Bay and Treyarnon Bay are each 1.6 miles from the cottage.

St Merryn's Spar shop, chip shop and the Cornish Arms pub are all within the village, and Padstow's harbour and restaurants are 3 miles by road. The parish also takes in Constantine Bay and Booby's Bay, both part of the wider stretch of surf beaches the area is known for. Nine reviews give the cottage a rating of 4.7.
