Colescus

Colescus is a 4-bedroom cottage in Gorran Haven - a south-coast fishing village that has kept its working character without the tourist prices of nearby Fowey or Mevagissey. The cottage sleeps 7 and sits within 100 metres of the village's sandy, sheltered beach, with sea views from the conservatory and garden.

Inside, the ground floor has a sitting room, a morning room, a separate dining room, and a kitchen with an island unit and dishwasher. A ground-floor bathroom and a single bedroom complete the lower level. Upstairs, a king bedroom and two twin rooms share a second bathroom and a separate WC. WiFi, central heating, a washing machine, and a tumble dryer are included. Dogs are welcome - up to 2 small or medium, or 1 large.

Gorran Haven Beach is roughly 100 metres from the front door, reached via a direct path - a sheltered sandy cove with calm water and year-round dog access. Hemmick Beach, a secluded cove with clear water for snorkelling, is 1.4 miles south on the coast path. The South West Coast Path also runs north to Vault Beach and the Dodman Point headland. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are 4 miles by road.

**Best for:** Larger families or two couples wanting a quiet south-coast base with an almost-doorstep beach and good coast path walking. **Less good for:** Groups needing on-site parking - the village car park is a 5-minute walk and charges a daily fee.
