Coombe Cottage

Coombe Cottage sits on the Pendra Loweth estate in Falmouth, 2.2 miles from the town. The ground floor is open plan, with a kitchen, a dining area that seats four and a sitting area with two sofas, plus a cloakroom with a basin, heated towel rail and WC. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge with freezer compartment, a dishwasher, a kettle, a toaster and a coffee machine. There is a Smart TV, WiFi, and a selection of books and games.

Both bedrooms are up the stairs: a double and a twin. The family bathroom has a bath with a shower over. Electric storage heaters warm the house, and bed linen, towels, fuel and power are included. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate can be requested; bring your own bedding for the cot. Patio doors lead to a non-enclosed rear garden with a patio, furniture and a shared lawn. Dogs are welcome and must stay on a lead across the estate, so check with the owners how many are allowed before you book.

Parking is off-road at the property for one car, with further visitor spaces. Estate guests share a tennis court, children's play area and gym, all open year-round, while the bar, restaurant, splash pool and jacuzzi keep seasonal hours, usually April to the end of October. Car charging points are outside the office. Bookings are for holiday or leisure use only, with no work or business stays, and sign-written vans and commercial vehicles are not permitted. Check-in is at 4pm and the shop and pub are 1 mile away.

It suits a couple or a small family with a dog. It is less good for anyone wanting a ground-floor bedroom, as both bedrooms are upstairs.
