Coombe House Retreat

Coombe House Retreat is a stone-built annexe for two on private rural land near Liskeard, with the River Tiddy running through the grounds.

One double bedroom and one bathroom keep the annexe sized for a couple or solo guest. A wood burner and an open fire are both fitted, alongside WiFi. There is no dishwasher or washing machine, so this suits a shorter stay or self-caterers happy to wash up by hand. Host Charlie manages the booking.

The grounds include two lakes and a summerhouse, with countryside views in every direction. Parking, a private garden and a barbecue are included, and up to two dogs can stay.

Menheniot is the nearest village, and Liskeard itself is a short drive further for the market town's shops, Stuart House arts centre and the Looe Valley Line branch railway, which winds through wooded valleys to Looe's harbour in about 30 minutes. Downderry Beach is 5.7 miles away, Plaidy Beach 6.5 miles and East Looe Beach 7.2 miles, so this is a countryside stay with driving needed for the coast. Golitha Falls and Carnglaze Caverns are within reach for day trips.
