St Keyne is a small village in the wooded Looe Valley - a river corridor running south through mixed deciduous woodland to the sea. The property sits at a former mill, which gives the site a quiet, sheltered character that is fairly typical of valley cottages in this part of Cornwall. No pets.

The Looe Valley Line, one of Britain's most scenic branch railways, follows the river from Liskeard down to Looe and runs several times a day. Looe's harbour, fish market, and beaches - Plaidy Beach is 4.5 miles, East Looe Beach 4.9 miles - are accessible by rail without needing a car. The town has a good range of restaurants and a seasonal tourist infrastructure.

Golitha Falls, a waterfall gorge on the River Fowey at the edge of Bodmin Moor, is about 6.2 miles north. Liskeard town is 3.1 miles and has a full range of supermarkets and services.

Good for a couple who wants a wooded valley base with easy train access to the south coast. Suits guests who prefer walking, cycling, and gentle countryside over a beach-focused stay. Less good for guests who need beach access on foot.
