Crabapple Cottage

Crabapple Cottage is a two-bedroom mid terrace house in the Village of Gardens at Pendra Loweth, a purpose-built group of holiday homes in a valley running down to Maenporth Beach, in Falmouth. It faces south across a communal garden at the back, and the patio has garden furniture and a barbecue.

Capacity is tight. The cottage sleeps a maximum of three people, children included, and infants and children under 2 are not allowed at all. Both bedrooms are upstairs: a double, and a smaller room with a 4ft double bed, plus a family bathroom with a bath and shower over. Downstairs is an open plan living area with kitchen, dining and sitting areas. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave and a fridge freezer, and laundry is shared on site rather than in the cottage. There is a TV with Freeview and a DVD player, heating is electric, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included.

Residents share a gym, a Jacuzzi, a splash pool, a children's play area and tennis courts. The splash pool is roughly 3 metres on each side and 1.4 metres deep, with room for 4 people at any one time. The pool and other on-site facilities keep seasonal opening times, and a cafe, bar and restaurant with a shop area runs from 1 April to the end of October. The shop and pub are 1 mile away and the beach is a 15-minute walk.

There is one allocated parking space plus visitor parking, and electric car charging points stand outside the office. Pets and smoking are not allowed. Check-in is from 4pm. Bookings are for holiday use only, work or business stays are cancelled, and sign-written vans and commercial vehicles are not permitted at the resort. The upstairs bedrooms and the age limit make it less good for young families, and it suits a couple or a small group of three adults or older children.
