The building is 200 years old, renovated to keep the period character while adding the practical kit a holiday let needs. Holywell Bay is a one-mile walk across Cubert Common - the closest sandy beach to the door.

Inside, the cottage runs to two bedrooms, one bathroom, a sitting room with an open fire for cool evenings, and a kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. Wifi is included. Two dogs are welcome. The single-bathroom layout suits a couple or a small family rather than two couples sharing.

Outside, the cottage looks out over open farmland with sea glimpses on the horizon. Private parking and an enclosed garden are included. The footpath network across Cubert Common gives you direct walking access to Porth Joke and West Pentire wildflowers, with Holywell Bay a mile west and Crantock Beach 2.5 miles further. The Smugglers Den Inn at Trebellan, a 16th-century thatched pub, is a mile south. Newquay is 4 miles north for shops, surf and the airport, and the village pub, shop and restaurant are a 15-minute walk.

Best for couples and small families who want to walk to the beach and have a fire to come home to. Less good for two couples sharing - the single bathroom and intimate layout favour solo households.
