Customs House Roost is a two-bedroom duplex apartment for four in Charlestown, a Georgian harbour village built in the 1790s for china clay export. One bedroom has a double bed. The upper-floor king can become twins on request, but its pitched ceiling creates low headroom on both sides. Two bathrooms serve the group.

The apartment occupies a refurbished building near the harbour, where tall ships are moored year-round and the port has been used as a filming location for Poldark and other period dramas. Wi-Fi, parking and a dishwasher are included, and dogs are welcome. There is no washing machine and no garden, so the duplex layout plus low ceiling may affect some guests more than others.

Charlestown Beach is 700 metres away, Carlyon Bay 0.7 miles and Porthpean Beach 0.9 miles away. St Austell town centre is under 2 miles north, with a mainline rail station on the London Paddington to Penzance line, and the Eden Project is around a 10-minute drive inland. The Shipwreck Treasure Museum, with artefacts from 165 shipwrecks, sits a short walk from the apartment within the harbour itself.
