Eden Retreat

Eden Retreat is a three-bedroom house in St Blazey, near Par in mid-Cornwall, with a private hot tub and two-car off-street parking. It sits on Rose Hill in a quiet residential street. The cottage sleeps six across three bedrooms: a king-size, a zip-link king that converts to twins, and a double.

The one bathroom has a Jacuzzi bath with overhead shower. The kitchen runs a Rangemaster gas range alongside a dishwasher and washing machine - a well-equipped setup for six. Outside, the enclosed rear garden has the hot tub and a BBQ. Dogs are not accepted at this property.

Carlyon Bay is 2.7km south - a long sandy beach with a surf break and seasonal hire available. Charlestown Harbour, used extensively in the BBC's Poldark series, is 3.6km further along the coast and has free access to the historic dock area. The Eden Project's twin biomes are under 5 minutes inland by car - useful for a wet-day option when the coast loses its appeal. Porthpean Beach, a sheltered sandy cove, is 4.7km.

Best for groups of up to six wanting comfortable indoor facilities alongside easy access to mid-Cornwall's coast and main attractions. Less suited to families with dogs or anyone wanting a remote rural setting.
