Falmouth Bay 2 is a first-floor apartment on Castle Drive in Falmouth, roughly 100 metres from Castle Beach. The position on the headland below Pendennis Castle puts the town centre, harbour, and three of Falmouth's beaches within walking distance - a practical advantage for a group of four who want to cover the town on foot.

Inside, the apartment has two bedrooms - one king-size and one twin - sleeping four across one bathroom. The shower room has a walk-in shower and heated towel rail. The open-plan kitchen runs to an induction hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. A Smart TV and Wi-Fi are included. One designated off-road parking space is allocated to the apartment - in summer, Castle Drive fills early and that space saves a 20-minute walk from the town car parks. Saturday changeover.

Castle Beach, a sand-and-shingle cove with clear water for snorkelling and rock pools at low tide, is 100 metres down the road. Gyllyngvase Beach - Falmouth's Blue Flag sandy beach with lifeguards from May and a seafront cafe - is 0.6 miles south along the coast path. Swanpool Beach, a sheltered south-facing bay with a freshwater lagoon behind it, is 1.1 miles.

Falmouth's National Maritime Museum Cornwall, independent restaurants along Arwenack Street, and the harbour-front pubs are all a 10-minute walk. Ferries cross to St Mawes and the Roseland from the Prince of Wales Pier. The town's Sea Shanty Festival draws several thousand visitors each June.

Best for a couple or two friends wanting a well-equipped base 100 metres from the water, with parking sorted. Less good for groups needing more than one bathroom.
