The village of Gorran Haven has a pub, a handful of shops, and a working fishing harbour. Caerhays Castle, privately owned but open for spring snowdrop walks, is roughly 3km to the southwest above Porthluney Bay - a mile-long sand beach that is one of the quieter options on the south coast. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are around 7km to the northwest and take at least half a day.

The cottage has dishwasher and washing machine, Wi-Fi, and off-road parking. The enclosed garden suits guests with dogs and children. Two bathrooms across three bedrooms gives reasonable flexibility for a group of 6 sharing. The south Cornwall location means calmer sea conditions than the north coast, which suits families with younger children or those who prefer flat water.

Ideal for families with dogs who want a village location within easy walking distance of a beach and a pub. Right for groups of up to 6 who want south coast conditions and access to the Lost Gardens and Caerhays area.
