Green Fields

Green Fields is a single-storey 1-bedroom barn conversion near Boskennal Farm in St Buryan, sleeping two adults with one bathroom. The cottage sits within an enclosed garden with a wood-fired hot tub and a BBQ - the main draw for couples wanting a quiet base in far west Penwith.

Inside, the layout is compact and single-level. Wifi and private parking are included. The barn is adults only. No washing machine is provided, so it suits shorter breaks rather than multi-week stays.

Penberth Cove - a small granite-slipway fishing inlet with working fishing boats - is 1.6 miles away. Lamorna Cove is 2.4 miles, a rocky cove set in wooded valley with a small cafe. The Minack Theatre at Porthcurno, an open-air theatre carved into the clifftop, is about 3 miles by road. Pedn Vounder - one of the most dramatic beaches in Cornwall, backed by the Logan Rock headland - is 2.1 miles. The South West Coast Path is accessible at all three of these coves.

St Buryan village has a pub, a village shop, and the 15th-century church of St Buriana. Penzance, with supermarkets and a rail station, is 6 miles east. The Merry Maidens stone circle - 19 granite stones, one of the best-preserved in Cornwall - is about a mile south of the village.

Best for: couples wanting a garden retreat in rural west Penwith with hot tub access and easy reach of the far-west coast path. Less good for: families, guests with dogs, or anyone needing on-site laundry facilities.
