Halls Farm

Halls Farm is a four-bedroom farmhouse near the village of Poughill, on the northern edge of Bude. The property sleeps 7 across a king-size (en-suite), a double, a twin and a single room, with a freestanding bath and walk-in shower in the main bathroom. An open fire in the sitting room adds warmth on cooler evenings.

The kitchen-diner has an induction range cooker with oven and hob, a microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. A separate dining room provides additional space for meals. Smart TV, DVD player and WiFi are included throughout.

Outside, an enclosed rear garden has lawn and a picnic bench - worth noting there are steps in the garden. Off-road parking fits 4 cars. Sandymouth Beach is 1.4 miles away, a wide National Trust strand with folded rock formations and lifeguard cover in summer. Northcott Mouth Beach, 1.7 miles south, has year-round dog access and rock pools around the Devil's Cauldron tidal formation.

Poughill (pronounced "Poffell") sits close enough to Bude for a short walk into town, where two supermarkets, restaurants and surf hire shops line the streets. The coast path at Sandymouth runs north toward Morwenstow along some of Cornwall's highest cliffs, and south into Bude past the canal, Summerleaze Beach and the open-air sea pool. The nearest shop is 1.9 miles away, with a pub at 1.4 miles.

Best for a group of up to seven wanting a farmhouse base with an open fire and parking for four cars; less suited to guests with a dog, since Halls Farm is not dog friendly, or anyone needing step-free access to the garden.
