Hazel Lodge

Hazel Lodge stands in a secluded corner of the owner's smallholding, reached along a tree-lined path, 2 miles from Constantine. The lodge is single-storey, with one super-king-size bedroom and a shower room with a walk-in shower, basin and WC.

The open-plan living space combines a kitchen with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster, a dining area, and a sitting area with a wood-burning stove. Fuel, power and a starter pack for the stove are included, as are bed linen and towels. There is a TV and superfast WiFi. A folding bed suits a child up to the age of 11, and a travel cot and highchair are available.

The decking is not enclosed and comes with outdoor seating, garden furniture, a fire pit and a barbecue. Off-road parking is for one car. The Lizard Heritage Coast, Falmouth and Truro are the main days out from here, with Falmouth 7.1 miles away and Truro 13.4 miles. One dog is welcome. Confirm the pet policy when booking. Smoking is not allowed, and a good housekeeping bond applies.

The lodge sleeps two and suits a couple; it is less good for families with toddlers, because the decking is not enclosed. A second lodge on the same site can be booked alongside, for four guests between them.
