Hollow Tree Cottage

Hollow Tree Cottage is a three-bedroom cottage for six in Sinns Common, a hamlet near Redruth in central Cornwall. A king-size room and a double are joined by a twin zip-and-link bed that becomes a super-king on request. One bathroom serves all six guests, worth factoring in at full occupancy. Guests who need step-free access should check with the owner before booking.

Both a wood burner and an open fire are included, giving the sitting room two ways to warm up. WiFi, parking and a washing machine are included. The private enclosed garden gives children and dogs, up to two, their own space to play safely.

The Mineral Tramways cycle and walking trail, part of the Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape World Heritage Site, passes 50 metres from the cottage and connects to former mining sites across the Camborne-Redruth belt. Portreath Beach is 2.1 miles away on the north coast, with Trevaunance Cove 4.4 miles and Trevellas Cove 4.7 miles, both near St Agnes. Redruth's shops, cafes and railway station are around 2.5 miles east.

**Best for:** families wanting flexible beds, an enclosed dog-friendly garden and direct access to the mining trail on foot.

**Less good for:** a full group wanting more than one bathroom.
