Duckpool Beach is a further 0.1km at 4.6km, a smaller rocky cove that suits those wanting fewer crowds. Northcott Mouth is 5.1km. All three sit along a stretch of coast that holds up well on a clear day and is quieter than Bude's main beaches in peak season.

Bude is around 15 minutes by car and has two town beaches - Crooklets and Summerleaze - plus a tidal swimming pool at Summerleaze. The town has a reasonable selection of cafes, surf shops, and supermarkets for stocking up on arrival. The Bude Canal is a flat walking route through town if the weather turns.

Suits groups of up to 6 who want a base near Bude without paying town-centre prices - the Kilkhampton location keeps costs lower while the three bedrooms and two bathrooms provide practical space. Not great for those wanting to walk to the beach, as all three nearest options require a short drive. No hot tub or garden, so less suited to those prioritising outdoor space.
