Spring Lodge

Spring Lodge is a three-bedroom property near Kilkhampton in the North Cornwall countryside, sleeping six across two double bedrooms and a twin, with two bathrooms serving the group. The sitting room is warmed by an open fire, and a conservatory extending from the main house adds a secondary living space that works in all weathers. The property is fully equipped for a week's stay - wifi, dishwasher, washing machine, and parking are all included.

The enclosed rear garden is the main practical asset for families or groups: a hot tub, barbecue area, and lawn are all included. Dogs are welcome throughout the property and garden, and the surrounding countryside lanes are accessible directly from the door. Saturday is the standard changeover day, which aligns with the standard week rental pattern for this part of North Cornwall.

Three beaches are within reach, all on the dramatic Atlantic-facing stretch of coastline between Hartland Point and Bude. Duckpool Beach is 6.6km away - a narrow sand-and-pebble beach at the mouth of the Coombe Valley, managed by the National Trust with no facilities but considerable character at low tide. Sandymouth Beach at 7.6km is similarly managed and slightly broader, with a seasonal cafe.

Good for groups of six wanting a quiet rural base with a hot tub and open fire, within 30 minutes of the surf and amenities in Bude. Less suitable for guests who want a coastal location or walking distance to a pub - Kilkhampton village is 2 miles away and Bude is a 15-minute drive.
