Holywell Bay, a dune-backed beach with the distinctive Gull Rocks sea stacks rising offshore, is 2.3 miles south by road. Perranporth village adds further pubs and The Watering Hole, a licensed bar built on the beach itself.

Best for families with children who want a base combining resort facilities with direct access to a serious surf beach. Less good for anyone wanting a private or rural setting - Perran Sands is a busy shared park with chalets on all sides.
