Little Acre

Little Acre is a private wing of the owners' home in Poughill, converted for two guests on the edge of Bude. The one double bedroom and one bathroom keep the accommodation couple-sized, with its own entrance separate from the main house.

A dishwasher and washing machine are fitted for longer self-catering stays, and the garden gives a private spot to sit outside. Wi-Fi and parking are included, and the property is marked accessible, though door widths and bathroom adaptations are not confirmed, so guests with specific needs should check with the owner first. Dogs are not accepted.

Summerleaze Beach is 2.1 miles away, Crooklets Beach is 2.2 miles from the cottage and Northcott Mouth Beach is 2.5 miles, all needing a short drive from the village. Bude itself has two supermarkets, a range of restaurants and the open-air sea pool at Summerleaze, with the coast path continuing north towards Sandymouth and Morwenstow. Poughill's own church, St Olaf's, and quiet crossroads sit closer at hand, a short walk from the cottage.

The guide price starts from £664 a week. Fifteen reviews give Little Acre strong category scores: cleanliness 5, equipment 4.9, and comfort and location each 4.7.

**Best for:** a couple wanting a private, self-contained wing with laundry, dishwasher, parking and garden close to Bude's beaches. **Less good for:** dog owners, guests needing confirmed accessibility measurements, or larger groups needing more than one bedroom.
