Little Trecoombe

Little Trecoombe is a two-bedroom holiday annexe for four near Fowey, the south coast harbour town where Daphne du Maurier lived and wrote. A fully enclosed garden looks out across a valley, giving the annexe private outdoor space away from the harbour crowds.

One king-size room and one twin, with small single beds, are each matched to their own bathroom, an important limitation for taller guests or groups of adults needing full-length beds. WiFi, parking, a dishwasher and washing machine are included, and up to two dogs can stay.

Lantic Bay, a National Trust bay reached by a steep 20 to 30 minute walk, is 1.9 miles away. Lansallos Beach, a remote cove reached only by countryside footpath, is also 1.9 miles, and Readymoney Cove, overlooked by Henry VIII's St Catherine's Castle, is 2.4 miles. Fowey's passenger ferry to Polruan and the Hall Walk circular are easy additions to a beach day, and Looe makes a further day trip. Trenewan is the nearest town.

**Best for:** A family with younger children or a couple wanting two bathrooms, an enclosed dog-friendly garden, laundry and valley views.

**Less good for:** Tall guests relying on the small twin beds, visitors wanting immediate beach access or verified step-free accommodation.
