Little Trelawns is a detached 2-bedroom cottage on Tredragon Road in Mawgan Porth, sleeping 4 with 4 bathrooms over two floors. Both bedrooms and their en-suites are upstairs, with a further bathroom, the kitchen and a sitting room on the ground floor; sea views open from the first-floor balcony. WiFi, parking, and dishwasher are included. No pets.

Mawgan Porth beach is 300 metres down the road - a wide sandy bay at the mouth of the Vale of Mawgan that's popular with families and bodyboarders. The Scarlet Hotel sits on the south headland and runs a surf school in summer. The beach has a beach shop and seasonal cafe. At low tide the sand extends a long way, with the stream running through the middle of the bay.

Bedruthan Steps is 1.2 miles north along the coast - the famous stack beach managed by the National Trust, where access down to the beach is via a steep staircase. Watergate Bay, with the Jamie Oliver restaurant and the Extreme Academy water sports centre, is 2 miles south. Newquay town is about 6.2 miles, reachable in 15 minutes by car.

This property suits families or two couples who want sea views and beach access without paying the premium for an oceanfront position. Less good for anyone with dogs - pets are not accepted - or for guests who need step-free access to a bedroom, since both bedrooms are on the first floor. Friday changeover.
