Mariners Ii

Mariners II is a two-bedroom waterfront cottage in Porthleven, sleeping four guests with direct access onto the beach.

One double bedroom and one bunk room are matched by two bathrooms, giving a family varied beds, though the bunk room suits children better than two adults wanting equal accommodation. The open-plan living area has sea views, and a waterside patio provides space for outdoor dining. WiFi, parking, a dishwasher and a garden are included, and a washer/dryer is in the utility room. Dogs are not accepted.

Porthleven Beach is reached directly from the cottage, with the harbour end calmer for swimming than the more exposed reef section to the west. Porthcew, also known as Rinsey Cove, is 2.5 miles away past the old Wheal Prosper engine house, and Gunwalloe Church Cove Beach is 3.5 miles further along the coast. Porthleven's harbour has become one of Cornwall's notable food destinations, home to Kota Restaurant and Kota Kai from chef Jude Kereama and the annual food festival each April.

**Best for:** A family wanting direct beach access, sea views, two bathrooms and waterfront dining space in Porthleven's harbour.

**Less good for:** Dog owners or two couples wanting matched double bedrooms rather than a bunk room.
