Renovated to a high standard with a wood burner in the sitting room, an open fire, full kitchen with dishwasher, BBQ, and an enclosed garden. Three bathrooms - one per bedroom - make it workable for two families or three couples sharing without queues in the morning. Wi-Fi and off-street parking included. Guests have free run of the 20-acre Bonython Estate gardens - one of Cornwall's Great Gardens, with a walled potager and a hidden valley holding three small lakes. The estate stretches almost from the Helford River to Poldhu Cove, with both shores a mile away. Kynance Cove and the Lizard Lighthouse are an easy drive south; Helston's market and Flora Day festival sit three miles north.

Best for two families or a small group of six wanting a quiet rural base with garden access and easy reach of both Lizard coasts. Less good for dog owners or anyone wanting to walk to a pub - the village is small and a car is essential.
