Mizpah Porthleven

Mizpah means "lookout" in Hebrew - an appropriate name for this 2-bedroom seafront cottage in Porthleven that sits directly on the coast with sea views from all main rooms. Sleeping 4 across a double and a bunk-bed room, each bedroom has its own en-suite, and there is a third shared bathroom - three bathrooms for four guests is a practical advantage over comparable coastal cottages.

Porthleven Beach is directly outside and the French doors open onto the seafront, creating an open connection between the living space and the sea. The harbour - with its cluster of restaurants, fish-and-chip shops, and independent traders - is a 0.4-mile flat walk along the waterfront. Porthleven is known for its exposed Atlantic swell and is one of the most-watched surf spots in south Cornwall during winter storms.

Porthcew Rinsey Cove is 2.5 miles for a quieter swimming spot, and Gunwalloe Church Cove Beach is 3.5 miles along the coast towards the Lizard. The property has no outdoor garden or terrace - the seafront view and French doors are the main outdoor connection.

Best for couples, a family with young children, or two adults sharing who want a direct seafront position with sea views from bed and sofa. The 3-bathroom layout and 3-dog allowance are key practical strengths. Not great for those who need a garden or outdoor space.
