Moor View Chapel

Moor View Chapel is a two-bedroom cottage converted from a chapel near Camelford on the edge of Bodmin Moor, sleeping four guests. The building retains its original proportions - high ceilings and tall windows - while the woodburning stove in the first-floor living area makes it a solid choice for cooler months.

The ground floor has a king-size bedroom and a bunk room, plus a bathroom with shower over bath. Upstairs, an open-plan living space combines kitchen, dining area, and sitting room around the woodburning stove. A dishwasher, Smart TV with FreeSat, and Wi-Fi are included. Fuel, a starter pack, and a net of logs come with each booking.

Outside, an enclosed courtyard provides a sheltered spot for meals, with off-road parking adjacent. Up to four dogs are welcome. Tregardock Beach - a remote, surf-exposed stretch of sand reached by a steep coastal path - is 5.1 miles away. Bossiney Cove, a sandy inlet near Tintagel accessible at low tide, sits 6 miles to the north.

Camelford itself is a quiet market town with independent shops and pubs, and the nearest shop and pub are 3.5 miles away. Rough Tor and Brown Willy - Cornwall's two highest points - are within driving distance, and the dramatic coast at Boscastle and Tintagel is about 15 minutes by car.

Best for dog owners travelling with several pets, since up to four dogs are welcome and the ground-floor bedroom and bathroom suit reduced-mobility guests. Less good for larger groups wanting more than one bathroom, since the property has just a single shared bathroom for both bedrooms.
