Inside: open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining around the wood burner, plus a separate snug with board games and a telescope. The ground-floor king has its own en-suite, and the upstairs master adds a sea-view aspect across the rooftops to Porth Beach - one of three bathrooms in total. One bedroom opens to a patio. No wifi on site, so factor that in if anyone needs to work. Garden wraps the rear with a BBQ and seating around the hot tub.

Porth is the Newquay suburb a mile from the town centre, and Porth Beach itself is the sheltered cove with the footbridge to Trevelgue Head and the rockpools at low tide. Whipsiderry (500 metres) sits next door with its caves at low tide. Lusty Glaze and its 133 steps are a mile south. The coast path runs north past Bedruthan to Watergate Bay, 1.5 miles. Padstow is 30 minutes' drive.

Best for two families splitting one larger house, or a multi-generational group who want a hot tub and walkable beaches. Less good for guests who need wifi for remote work.
