Neap Roundhouse, East Thorne

Neap Roundhouse is a two-bedroom glamping structure at East Thorne, a rural site roughly 3.7 miles south of Bude. It sleeps four in two bedrooms with one bathroom, and has a private hot tub on the plot.

The roundhouse has WiFi, off-road parking, a garden, and a BBQ area. The circular form sets it apart from standard self-catering cottages - the layout places the living space at the centre with bedrooms around the edge. Washing machine provided. If you're travelling with a dog, check the policy with the owners before you book.

Three beaches sit within 4 miles: Sandymouth Beach at 3.6 miles, Northcott Mouth at 3.8 miles, and Duckpool at 3.9 miles - all are uncommercialized strands on the North Cornwall Heritage Coast, quiet even in August compared to Bude. Bude itself has Summerleaze Beach and a Victorian tidal sea pool, 3.7 miles north along the coast road. The South West Coast Path runs through this section.

Best for groups of four wanting countryside accommodation with outdoor living and several quiet beaches within a short drive. Less good for those wanting a village atmosphere on the doorstep - East Thorne is genuinely rural and Bude is the nearest town for food and supplies.
