One bathroom only, and the twin room limits bed-configuration flexibility for groups who'd want doubles. Off-street parking for two cars.

Summerleaze Beach is 0.7 miles away with the free tidal sea pool carved into the rocks - it's swimmable on any tide once it fills. Crooklets Beach at 1.1 miles is the main surf beach. Northcott Mouth sits 1.8 miles north, where the rusted ribs of the SS Belem still emerge at low tide. Widemouth Bay - 4 miles south - has the longest sand and a beginner surf school. Bude town's shops, cafes and pubs are walkable for dinner out, and the South West Coast Path passes through in both directions. Stratton, the older market town with the 16th-century Tree Inn, adjoins Bude on the north-east side.

Best for small families wanting a quiet, walk-to-the-beach base with a dog. Less good for groups needing multiple bathrooms or a twin-to-double flip.
