Beeston Farmhouse

Beeston Farmhouse is a detached property near Marhamchurch sleeping 4 across 2 super-king bedrooms - one of which converts to a twin on request - and 3 bathrooms, an unusual ratio that avoids the morning queue common at smaller cottages. Both bedrooms are up an oak staircase on the first floor; there's a wet room with WC on the ground floor.

The patio garden is enclosed and south-facing, with a wood burner inside for evenings when the Atlantic air rolls in. A BBQ is included for the warmer months. The property sits on the edge of a working farming area, so the outlook is open countryside rather than coastal - quieter and less visited than the clifftop alternatives nearby.

Bude town centre is 10 minutes by car, where Summerleaze Beach (2.8 miles) and Crooklets Beach (3.1 miles) offer reliable surf and family-friendly sand. Widemouth Bay, a long south-facing beach popular with surfers and swimmers, is 2.7 miles away. The South West Coast Path runs through Bude town, so no driving is needed to reach it.

Up to 2 dogs welcome.

Best for dog owners who want a rural base with multiple beaches within a short drive. Less good for guests who can't manage stairs, since both bedrooms are on the first floor.
