A compact one-bedroom cottage sitting directly on the River Fowey at Golant, sleeping 2 with two separate bathrooms. The village is small - a pub 100 metres away, a handful of houses, and the river filling the view. Heating is drawn from thermal energy in the river itself, supplemented by underfloor heating throughout.

The layout uses the space well for a couple: a mezzanine double bedroom with an en-suite bath, and a ground-floor shower room with walk-in shower. The open-plan living area has a full kitchen with dishwasher, two fridges, and a washing machine. Linen, towels, Wi-Fi, and heating are all included in the rent. A public car park is 50 metres away, with a daily charge. The property is reached via a flight of steps from the car park - not suitable for guests with limited mobility. The water supply is spring-fed, so conservation is encouraged.

Fowey is 2.5 miles south along the estuary, with its Book Town independent shops and ferry crossing to Polruan. Readymoney Cove beach is 2.2 miles, and Lantic Bay - a dramatic National Trust cove - is 2.8 miles by road.

Best for couples who want a quiet riverside base with direct water access. Less good for anyone needing step-free access or a car on site.
