One-bedroom retreat, Bude

Surfers and coast walkers are well served by this single-storey home in Bude, which has views towards the sea and is close to Crooklets Beach, with a beach 0.4 miles away. A private entrance leads in, and outside there is storage for surfboards and other kit, with a nearby hose for rinsing wetsuits.

Inside, one open-plan room holds the kitchen, dining area and a sitting area with a Smart TV, another TV and a sofa bed. It sleeps two, and its double bedroom is separate. The shower room has a walk-in rainfall shower, a basin and a WC.

The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and coffee maker. Electric central heating is installed, WiFi is available, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included.

Parking is off-road for one car. Pets are not allowed and smoking is not permitted. The pub is 0.3 miles away and the shop 0.5 miles. Bude Sea Pool, Summerleaze Beach and the South West Coast Path are among the local attractions, while Tintagel is 17 miles away.

It suits a couple who plan to spend their days on the beach or the coast path; with one bedroom and one parking space it is less good for two couples travelling together.
