Pegs

Pegs is a 2-bedroom fisherman's cottage on Mounts Road in Porthleven, 100 metres from the beach. The cottage sleeps 4 across 2 bedrooms with 1 bathroom. Its position on the harbour side means the winter storms that drive waves over the sea wall are visible from the street outside.

Inside, the layout is compact but well-equipped: wifi, dishwasher, and washing machine are all included. The enclosed rear garden with off-street parking adds space for evenings outside in summer. No dog access. Changeover day is Friday, with check-in from 4:30 pm and check-out by 10:00 am. A cot and a highchair are available.

Porthleven is a working harbour village with a cluster of restaurants along the quay - Rick Stein's opened here in 2021 and draws queues in high season. The harbour wall is the local spot for watching Atlantic storms roll in. Penrose estate and Loe Bar beach are a 15-minute walk south along the coast path, which continues towards Gunwalloe Church Cove at 3.5 miles. Rinsey Cove is 2.5 miles east.

Best for couples or small families who want a harbour base within walking distance of restaurants and the coast path. Less good for dog owners or those needing more than one bathroom.
