Tregardock Beach is 4.2 miles - a remote, untamed cove at the base of steep cliffs with no facilities and access via a farm path. Bossiney Cove is 4.9 miles, Port Gaverne 6.5 miles. These are north Cornish Atlantic beaches with character, not bucket-and-spade family coves.

Camelford is about 1.5 miles from the cottage with pubs, a supermarket, and basic amenities. Port Isaac, known for its steep lanes and working harbour, is a 20-minute drive north. Bodmin Moor is accessible to the east, with open moorland and walking routes.

The bedroom layout is specific: one adult couple gets the ground-floor en-suite, and a second couple or family occupies the first-floor king with the bunk room adjoining. It works well when the bunk room is for children, less well when 2 adults need separate, private sleeping.
