Pennance Farm Cottage is a detached rural cottage in Lanner, Mid Cornwall, approached via a long private drive through grass meadows. The village is a five-minute walk - shop, bakery and pubs within easy reach. The cottage sits within the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site, one of the largest UNESCO designations in Britain, covering the engine houses and stacks of the historic Camborne-Redruth mining district.

Inside, the kitchen and lounge retain original features including large windows and a wood burner that makes the property workable through shoulder season. A utility room and separate WC add practical space beyond the main living areas. Wi-Fi runs throughout and there is private parking on the drive, plus a BBQ and garden for summer evenings.

The location is stronger than the address suggests. Carn Brea Castle, the granite hill fort above Camborne with views across the peninsula, is walkable directly from the cottage. Cycle paths connect through the mining landscape. Portreath beach is 8.4km north - a sheltered surfing beach at the mouth of a wooded valley. Hayle's three miles of sand are under ten miles west, and Trevaunance Cove at St Agnes is around 12km.

Best for couples or small families wanting a rural base with easy access to both north-coast beaches and the inland mining heritage trail. Less suitable for guests who need sea access on foot or prefer a coastal village setting.
