Periwinkle is a single-storey one-bedroom cottage at Atlantic Farm on the Atlantic Highway, around 2km outside Bude, sleeping 2 in a double. The open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area is compact and fully accessible, with no steps and an en-suite shower room. Dogs are welcome, and the farm setting means there is open land around the property - practical for dog walking without needing to drive to a beach. Garden included. Wi-Fi and parking included. No dishwasher, no washing machine.

Summerleaze Beach is 2.2km into Bude - a wide sandy beach with a tidal sea pool and reliable surf. Crooklets Beach is 2.8km north, a surfing and family beach with a cafe and seasonal lifeguard cover. Widemouth Bay is 3.6km south, one of the most consistent surf breaks on this stretch of coast with a beach school operating through the season.

Bude itself is a compact town with an independent high street, a castle arts centre, and the Bude Canal - the only ship canal in Cornwall, running south from the harbour. The town is accessible by bike from the cottage via the Atlantic Highway. The North Cornwall coast path runs through Bude connecting Summerleaze and Crooklets.

This suits couples or solo travellers who want a quiet farm base rather than a town-centre stay. Ideal for dog owners who value the farm space and need accessible, step-free accommodation. Works for walkers using the coast path as Bude is a good base for the stretch toward Boscastle and Tintagel to the south. Less good for anyone needing laundry facilities or who wants a kitchen well stocked for cooking from scratch. Friday changeover.
