Perran Pearl A is a first-floor one-bedroom apartment on Grannys Lane in Perranporth, sleeping 2 with one bathroom. The apartment sits above ground level with a shared garden for the building. A king-size double bedroom makes this the better-appointed of the two Pearl units for couples who want a proper bed rather than a sofa conversion. Wi-Fi and off-street parking are included. No dishwasher or washing machine. No dogs.

Perranporth Beach is 900m - three miles of north-facing sand with consistent surf, RNLI lifeguards in season, and the Watering Hole bar built into the dunes at the north end. The town centre is a short flat walk from the apartment with cafes, surf hire, and a Co-op.

Trevellas Cove is 2.2 miles east along the coast path, a rocky cove with an old tin mine above it. Trevaunance Cove in St Agnes is 2.5 miles - smaller, sandier, and sheltered, with the Driftwood Spars pub within five minutes on foot. The South West Coast Path connects both. Friday changeover.

Best for: couples after a straightforward base within walking distance of one of Cornwall's longest surf beaches. Rated 4 by 31 guests. Less good for: guests needing laundry facilities or step-free access - the first-floor position requires stairs from street level.
