Pooh Corner

Pooh Corner is a one-bedroom lodge in St Breock for two guests, with a king-size bedroom, one bathroom and an open-plan interior that opens onto a glass-fronted balcony looking across open countryside.

A wood burner and open fire give the lodge two sources of heat for cooler evenings, alongside Wi-Fi, parking and EV charging. There is no dishwasher, washing machine or garden, and dogs are not accepted. Host Anna manages the booking.

St Breock sits about a mile west of Wadebridge, where the Camel Trail cycle path begins its route along the river to Padstow and Bodmin. The parish church, next to the Royal Cornwall Showground, dates from the 13th century, and the St Breock Downs Monolith, a standing stone around 16 feet tall, stands roughly 2 miles south on open downland. Rosenannon Downs and Goss Moor are named for walks closer to the lodge. Daymer Bay Beach is 7.6 miles away, with Greenaway Beach and Trevone Bay each 8 miles further, so the north coast beaches at Polzeath, Rock and Harlyn Bay are a short drive rather than a walk. St Breock is the listing base, with Saint Columb Major recorded as the nearest town.
