Riverview

Riverview is a three-bedroom duplex at Brunel Quays in Lostwithiel, positioned to overlook the River Fowey from the edge of Cornwall's former medieval capital. The cottage sleeps six across two floors: a single bedroom on the first floor, and a super-king with en-suite plus a twin bedroom on the second. The duplex format means the living and sleeping spaces are properly separated - worth noting for groups with mixed sleep schedules. Changeover is on Sunday. The duplex has two bathrooms, one of them the en-suite to the super-king bedroom.

Parking and Wi-Fi are included. A dishwasher and a washer dryer are included, and one well-behaved pet is welcome free of charge. The River Fowey runs immediately outside.

Lostwithiel town centre is a short walk from Brunel Quays. Restormel Castle, an English Heritage site with a 13th-century circular keep, stands just over a mile from the property. The Eden Project is about 5 miles west on the A390. For beaches, Readymoney Cove near Fowey is 5.4 miles south; Carlyon Bay is 6 miles.

Best for families or groups who want an inland base with strong access to both the Fowey estuary and central Cornwall. Less good for anyone wanting direct beach access from the door.
