The Hayle estuary itself is a nationally important site for wading birds - curlew, redshank, and oystercatcher are commonly seen from the footpaths that run along the estuary edges.

Best for families with dogs or groups who want a hot tub and single-storey accommodation within easy range of the north coast beaches and St Ives. Less suited to those wanting to walk straight onto the sand. Guests who need step-free access should check with the owner before booking.
