Sandsifters II

Sandsifters II is a reverse-level villa, so the front door is at the back of the house, and the bedrooms are split across the floors below and above. The kitchen, dining area and sitting area share one room, and a balcony on the first floor looks out over the sea. The beach is 0.3 miles away, the pub is 0.3 miles and the shop 0.5 miles, all in Carbis Bay.

The kitchen has Miele appliances: an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and a Nespresso machine sits beside them. An extending gloss table with six chairs seats the whole party, and two 4K Smart TVs with Sky HD and BT Sports, a sound bar, WiFi and DAB radios in the bedrooms are all included. A utility room holds a washing machine and tumble dryer, and a snug on the lower ground floor has a Sky HD package and a PS4. There is a table football set, plus games and DVDs.

All three bedrooms have a super-king-size bed that can be split into twins if you ask at least seven days ahead, and each has an en-suite; one has a bath with a shower over it and the others have walk-in showers. Two rooms are on the lower ground floor and open onto the enclosed garden, and the third is on the upper level with sea views. Fifteen internal steps lead down to the lower floor.

Outside, the landscaped garden has a decked seating area and a sun terrace runs the full width of the house, with a dining table and benches. Two cars can park at the villa, a travel cot and highchair are available, and the central heating is underfloor. Pets and smoking are not allowed. The layout suits three couples or a family of six, and is less good for anyone who cannot manage stairs.
