Sandy Cove

Sandy Cove is a four-bedroom cottage for eight in Portmellon, a coastal village a mile south of Mevagissey. Two king-size rooms and two twins give families or friends a balanced mix of beds, with two bathrooms serving the group.

The cottage sits around 10 feet from Portmellon's sandy cove, with direct access and uninterrupted views across the beach, which stretches roughly 150 metres at low tide but is fully covered at high water. A wood burner provides an indoor focal point on cooler evenings, and the garden adds outdoor space. WiFi, parking, a dishwasher, washing machine and EV charging are all included, and up to two dogs can stay.

Mevagissey, with its working harbour, fish shops and cafes, is about a 20-minute walk along the coast path. Gorran Haven Beach is 1.5 miles away, Pentewan Beach is 1.9 miles and Hemmick Beach is 2.5 miles, all reachable by car for a change of scene beyond the doorstep beach. The coast path south towards Gorran Haven passes above quiet coves and farmland, some of the best walking on Cornwall's south coast.
