About St Austell
One of the biggest towns in Cornwall and a great location to visit the South Coast, St Austell was once a huge player in the China Clay industry and you can see all around the town there are piles of slag, sometimes referred to as the Cornish Alps. St Austell is the gateway to Charlestown and is close to Mevagissey. It also the home of the world famous Eden project which is situated just outside the town.
