Mallards

Mallards is a detached two-bedroom cottage in Pentewan village, sleeping 4 in a double and a twin. The pub is 100 metres away, and Pentewan Beach - a 400-metre stretch of golden sand on the south coast - is a 300-metre walk.

The ground floor has a kitchen with an espresso machine, dishwasher, and full-size fridge and freezer. A utility room houses the washing machine and tumble dryer. The living room combines sitting, dining, and a woodburning stove - logs can be picked up from the village store. A Smart TV with Netflix and WiFi are included. A cot and highchair are available on request.

Outside, a front terrace has outdoor furniture. Off-road parking for one car is provided. One small dog is welcome. The cottage sits on the village square, so shops and the pub are within a few minutes' walk.

Pentewan Beach, lifeguarded in summer, is 300 metres south - a family-friendly sandy beach with kayaking and paddleboarding available. Porthpean Beach, a sheltered cove with rock pools, is 3.6 km along the coast. The Pentewan Valley Trail, a flat traffic-free cycle path following the old mineral railway, connects the village to St Austell 3 miles north. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are 2 miles south, and the Eden Project is about 5 miles inland.
