Trevissick

Trevissick is a two-bedroom, five-star cottage forming one wing of a working farmhouse above Pentewan, sleeping 5 across two en-suite bathrooms. The land sits on the coastal slope between Pentewan and Trenarren, and a path from the property leads directly to the South West Coast Path - no road walking needed.

The layout places the sitting room on the ground floor, with sofas and a coal-effect electric fire. Upstairs, the farmhouse kitchen and dining room share the same south-facing aspect as both bedrooms, looking out across rolling fields to the sea. A double and a twin sleep four; a Z-bed in the twin room accommodates a fifth. The kitchen is fully equipped - oven, hob, dishwasher, washer/dryer - enough for a week of self-catering without a supermarket run every other day.

Pentewan Beach is 1.8km downhill on foot, with Porthpean 2.1km north and Charlestown 3.2km further on. St Austell is 4 miles inland; the Eden Project is another 2 miles beyond that. Mevagissey harbour, 2 miles south along the coast path, runs boat trips from April to September. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are 1 mile off the B3273. Best for couples or small families of five wanting farm-edge quiet with sea views and the coast path directly accessible. Two dogs welcome in the enclosed garden. Less good for guests without a car - the lane is steep and the village is a mile and a half down.
