Sea Folly

Sea Folly is a 4-bedroom dog-friendly beach house in Perranporth sleeping 10, with an upside-down layout that places the kitchen, dining area, and balcony on the first floor. From there, and from the top-floor king en-suite bedroom, the house picks up sea views across the town to the Atlantic. Perranporth Beach - 3 miles of west-facing sand - is 0.8km away.

The ground floor has three bedrooms opening directly onto the enclosed garden, two of which can convert from twin to super-king on request. The house runs on a SolarEdge solar panel system with battery storage, a heat pump, and high-spec insulation. Practical inclusions: BBQ in the garden, dishwasher, washing machine, parking, and wifi. Dogs are welcome throughout.

Perranporth village is within easy walking distance - the Watering Hole pub sits on the beach itself (open since 1978), and surf schools operate from the sand through the summer. Truro is 8 miles south-east if the group wants a day out. Trevaunance Cove at St Agnes, a narrower and rockier cove with a different character, is 4.3km away.

Best for large groups and families who want space, a garden, and a low-carbon house that doesn't sacrifice comfort. Less good for anyone needing level-access accommodation - the upside-down layout means regular use of stairs.
